I loved this hotel! Everything was perfect, from check in (they allowed me to my room early), seeing the room (I was pleased to have a balcony and a minibar which was free due to problems with the safe in my room), and to check out (I could leave my bag with them. It was the perfect space for one person, plenty of room. Maybe a little small for 2 people but I can't complain. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe indeed. The tram stops outside and takes you straight to central Zurich in 10 mins, very convenient Highly recommended for a well-priced and convenient stay.

We've stayed at this hotel before, several years ago. A different experience this time. Breakfast not included, and very expensive. Bar and restaurant advertised but closed. There is a minibar in the room, are the items free? Or is there a charge? I have no idea. The hotel has 7 dedicated parking bays for guests. You can't book them and during our stay I only saw some available as we were leaving on Sunday morning. There is some street parking available at 1chf for maximum of 2 hours. The room would have been just roomy enough except we are traveling with our son who slept on the very uncomfortable sofa bed which, when extended, meant we were all edging past each other. The shower entry was so narrow that my wide-shouldered son had to go in sideways. Luckily, we're all quite slender. The room itself is looking very run down and the kettle leaked. Also, not enough lighting: if you want to read, you need to position yourself directly under a light. On the plus side, the location is convenient for trams, close to the centre, there is a Co-op downstairs and a bakery across the road.

Very bad experience and service at the Leonardo Boutique Hotel in Zurich. I was traveling with an airline that had to cancel the flight due to a heavy snowfall in that area. I was going to travel a few days to several cities in the area staying in different hotels. Due to this heavy snowfall I had to request the cancellation and refund of the payment to all these hotels. Kindly all the hotels have refunded my payment except the Leonardo Boutique Hotel in Zurich. Definitely it has been a very bad experience and I don't recommend anyone to stay at this Leonardo Boutique Hotel.

Staff were so friendly and let us check in 3 hours early. I had told them our stay was for my daughters 12th birthday and they had put a balloon, a birthday card and a heart made of chocolates on the bed in our room - this made it very special for her. The coffee machine in the room was a lovely addition and the free mini bar was an unexpected bonus. The room was quiet and the view from the balcony very nice too. The bathroom was clean and the room was lovely and warm. The breakfast was amazing, lots of smoked salmon, fresh croissants and a lovely tea selection. My daughter loved the white hot chocolate. The hotel is in a great location, just a 5 minute tram ride from the city centre.

Had booked the hotel despite the mixed reviews but took a risk as I always believed in comebacks. Check-in was smooth and they had my bookings on record. Lift was working (Both of them) and the front desk was friendly and even extended the mini bar free for consumption. I had to change my first room assigned as it was facing the road and it was noisy. Front desk did not make any fuss and gave me another room facing the back which was quieter. It is a must to request for this for a very important reason, rooms do not have aircon equipped so you have to keep y our windows open for circulation. It was cold as it was autumn season but the quite facing allows you to keep windows opened. I can imagine that in summer, the room would be unbearably hot and the fan supplied would help but not if temperatures get too hot. Rooms bed and toilet is decent and housekeeping is friendly and towels are clean. Breakfast came with my booking and good choices but continental and they offered bacon, sausages and mashed eggs. Overall when you compare the price with other hotels, its a good deal but again must get the room facing the back.
